Week 6 Issues caused by smart city

With the development of smart city, city's main economic activity will depend on smart city system. Once the system crash or attacked, the economic consequences would be incalculable. The resulting economic turmoil is mind-boggling. If the hackers involved in System Center, they will get all the information and have the ability to control the city.

Developing countries applied intelligence technology of the advanced countries in the process of building a Smart City. It makes advanced countries can easily access to the their highways, water conservancy, electric power, oil and gas pipelines, financial and business information, which is equivalent to grasp the pulse of the city's economy.

Construction and operation of smart city requires huge capital investment. Compared with the urban construction in the past, smart city construction period is longer because of its high technical content, involves many areas and project complexity. Therefore, requiring more funding support. The maintenance of smart city and the long-term operation of the system also need a lot of money invested.
